The Corporate Manslaughter and Corporate Homicide Act 2007 which came into force on 6th April 2008 puts corporations under further pressure to ensure the safety of their employees. For the first time companies, organisations and individuals can be found guilty of corporate manslaughter as a result of serious management failures, resulting in a gross breach of duty of care.
