I would like to take this opportunity to welcome you all to Blue Mountains new website.
I am pleased to inform you that things within Blue Mountain are moving at a pace.
The Bushcraft Division will be showing as part of the OUTDOORS SHOW, Birmingham NEC, over the 17 – 29 March 09. As well as promoting the courses within the website, we have a number of
Survival and Bushcraft practical skills that you can have a go at and can offer some generous discounts over the event. As always we will be there to offer you advice.
You can book online for the show by going to www.outdoorsshowextra.co.uk , by quoting EXB75 when booking you will be able to get two tickets for the price of £22 instead of £34.
It is a busy and exciting time for the whole of Blue Mountain and the Bushcraft Division is involved in some interesting projects:
We are running a Bushcraft Apprentice course over the weekend 13 – 15 March in the Neath area of Wales. Eight people will be spending three days and two nights learning the basics of surviving in the wilds with Mark Oriel and his team of instructors. The course is both enlightening and fun and we know they will enjoy the experience. Due to our expansion we are now able to offer these courses all over the UK as well as internationally.
Blue Mountain is also heavily involved with the personal training of a young lady who is about to undertake an expedition and jungle marathon in Brazil this October. She is a local lady and the training programme that we have developed is being filmed by S4C. I will keep you updated as to her progress and when the show will be televised.
Our internal training continues. Six of our instructors have successfully completed a British Field Target Association Air Rifle Instructors course. We are about to introduce this into our Bushcraft Courses to give students that something extra.
The 27th February saw Blue Mountain host a charity dinner and auction in the Stradey Park Hotel in Llanelli, SW Wales, in aid of local Multiple Sclerosis Societies. The evening was a great success although donations are still coming in; it looks like we managed to make over £10,000. So a big thank you for all those concerned.
What’s next? We are in the process of developing the Bushcraft and Survival Medical courses and these will be advertised very soon.
Blue Mountain is also developing a “field shooting and bushcraft Club” where members can come and meet, discuss and develop their skills with like minded people.
It also gives me pleasure to announce that Blue Mountain Security Solutions Ltd (all Divisions), have passed the BS EN ISO 9001 inspection this week, and now have IAC Accreditation.
Blue Mountain Security Solutions prides itself on its professionalism, confidentiality and its customer service, so if you have any questions about any service that we offer, please do not hesitate to contact us and I hope to see you soon.Regards
Nigel Thomas
